Our founder
I’m Dr. Giselle Soler Lopez, a licensed psychologist with over 10 years of experience specializing in trauma-informed and culturally responsive care for immigrant communities. I am a daughter of Salvadoran immigrants who is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health and addressing the cultural barriers that impact wellness.
Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to making mental health resources more accessible, whether through direct clinical services, program development, or training professionals in culturally competent care. My background includes leadership roles in community mental health settings, including as clinical director at a nonprofit organization serving immigrant survivors of torture, where I oversaw trauma-informed programs in multiple languages and trained interpreters in mental health care. I have also worked at a federally qualified health center, providing therapy to unhoused and immigrant communities, supervising Spanish-speaking trainees, and developing community-responsive mental health programs.
I created Spanish Therapy Tools to support Spanish-speaking mental health professionals in their work by providing high-quality, culturally relevant resources. I know firsthand the challenges of finding linguistically and culturally appropriate materials, and my goal is to help bridge that gap—so therapists can focus on what they do best: supporting the clients they work with.
Through Spanish Therapy Tools, I hope to continue supporting mental health professionals in their mission to provide accessible and effective care for Spanish-speaking communities.
